We have really enjoyed our three years as volunteers
at this site. Bob is the
maintenance supervisor and also does hands-on maintenance for the retreat
house and five other buildings on the property.
Carole is responsible for planting and maintaining the plants
inside and outside the retreat house.
She also takes minutes at the staff meetings, keeps the statistics
current, cooks on Sundays, and helps the Sisters with their duties when
necessary.
We also are able to attend any of the retreats
sponsored by the retreat house. We
have found there are many people who are interested in being missionary
volunteers. It is a treat to
share our experiences and give them information to get started on this
great adventure.
